Kona is a 2 year-old male Mountain Cur.

At first glance he is charming and witty. 

True to his breed, he is strong-willed and reserved with strangers – until he gets to know you! He trains easily and is always enthusiastic about learning something new. Cur’s were bred to protect livestock and family from intruders. Kona proved that ability by protecting his home and family. He is dog friendly but can be fickle with certain dogs.  A good match for Kona is a family that is active and involves him in their daily lives. Hiking, walking, running and continued obedience training. With an active mind that needs creative stimulation he will not fare well being left home alone for long periods of time. Kona would do well with a patient, kind and consistent owner. As well as a large-fenced yard where he can chase squirrels, walks in the park, beaches and playing ball. He is very social once he has approved you for his family!       

Kona is neutered and up to date with vaccinations.
